Who are you?
Hello! I am Flora Snelson. I'm a football journalist and a writer. I'm also a no.9 for a tier-six women's team and fan of Leeds United.
I used to be a regular at the Yorkshire Evening Post and The Square Ball. I have also written for such titles as the Guardian and When Saturday Comes, and done radio and video stuff for people like the BBC and Monocle.
I like writing about football and would love to share it with you.
What is this blog?
I've loved football, as a player and a fan, for as long as I can remember and have been pre-occupied by LUFC for most of that time. Lately, I've been hella into the Lionesses (duh) and their barn-storming arrival into the general consciousness has inspired me to take a closer look at who gets to enjoy football and how we can make the answer to that, 'everyone'.
I believe that football has the power to positively shape individual lives and communities, and that everyone should have an equal chance to enjoy the beautiful game — but I know this is not always the case. I believe that good stories, told well, can change football for the better, and that is the motive for this blog and the things I write.
So if you care about that, or like the things I write, or both... sign up below!
